Cookie policy
QitketsQat sets no cookies and runs no trackers. Here is exactly what the site may keep in your browser, and how to change or clear it.
Last updated: 9 October 2026
No cookies, no tracking
Neither the pages of qitketsqat.online nor the site's script set any cookies, our own or anyone else's. There are no analytics or statistics tools, no advertising networks, no social media plugins and no embedded videos, maps or other third-party content that could place cookies or similar trackers on your device. Fonts, images and scripts are all served from our own server.
What the site stores instead
The site needs to remember one thing: the choice you make in the cookie notice. Instead of a cookie, its script keeps that choice in your browser's local storage (localStorage), a small storage area that belongs to this website on your device. Unlike cookies, local storage entries are not sent to the server with each request; only the script running on our pages in your browser reads them.
| Key | Category | Purpose | Contents | How long |
|---|---|---|---|---|
qitketsqat.consent |
Strictly necessary | Remembers your answer to the cookie notice, so it does not reappear on every page | necessary: true, preferences: true or false, version: 1, timestamp (date and time of your choice) |
Until you clear the site data in your browser |
qitketsqat.prefs |
Preferences (only with your consent) | Remembers your choice of night or day mode | theme: "light" or "dark" |
Until you switch preferences off, which deletes it at once, or clear the site data |
Neither entry contains your name, IP address or any other identifier, and neither is ever transmitted to us.
Until you make a choice, nothing is stored. If you switch to day mode without allowing preferences, the change applies to the page you are on and is forgotten when you move to the next one. If your browser blocks local storage, as some private modes do, the site still works normally; the notice may simply appear again on every page you open.
The version value lets us ask again if what the site stores ever changes: a consent record with an older version number is ignored, and the notice reappears.
The categories in the cookie notice
Strictly necessary (always on)
This category covers only the entry that records your consent choice. It cannot be switched off, because without it the site could not remember that you have already answered.
Preferences (off unless you allow them)
If you allow preferences, the site remembers your choice of day or night mode. Without them, every visit opens in night mode.
There are no statistics, marketing or third-party categories, because the site uses none of these. In the notice, "Accept all" allows both categories, "Only necessary" stores your choice and nothing else, and "Settings" opens a panel where you decide for yourself.
Changing your choice
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time, with effect for the future. Use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page, or the button below. If you switch preferences off, qitketsqat.prefs is deleted straight away.
The settings panel needs JavaScript. With JavaScript turned off, the site stores nothing at all, so there is nothing to change.
Clearing local storage in your browser
You can delete everything the site has stored whenever you like. Doing so simply resets it: the cookie notice will ask again on your next visit. Menu names vary between browsers and versions, so treat these as pointers and check your browser's help pages for the current steps.
- Chrome and Edge: open the site information icon to the left of the address bar, go to the cookies and site data section, and delete the stored data for qitketsqat.online. Clearing "cookies and other site data" in the browser's settings also works.
- Firefox: click the padlock icon in the address bar and choose "Clear cookies and site data".
- Safari on a Mac: open Settings, then Privacy, then "Manage Website Data", search for qitketsqat.online and remove it.
- Safari on iPhone and iPad: in the Settings app, open the Safari settings, then Advanced, then Website Data, and remove qitketsqat.online.
- Private or incognito windows: local storage is discarded automatically when you close the window.
Third parties
No third-party cookies are set and no third-party content is loaded on our pages. Links to other websites, such as official venue information, Wikimedia Commons or licence texts, only take you there when you click them. Those sites may use cookies under their own policies.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change what the site stores, we will update this page and raise the version number of the consent record, so that the notice asks for your choice again.
